It is unbelievable to me that almost 2 years have passed since I wrote “Dream Big” at the prodding of our illustrious Sam. Now, when I read that article I think “Did I really write that?” Folks, I wasn’t a writer then, and I am still not. According to my good friend Branka, I am the Queen of Simplicity. That I am! I don’t do a lot of analyzing or philosophizing simply because once I do, I cannot make a decision for the life of me. Everything gets jumbled and confused.
For the last couple of weeks, I have been unemployed for the first time in my life. By the end of this month, the projections are that more than 10% of the population in the US will be out of work. Wow! That sure does not make it a piece of cake to find new employment now, does it?
On that day at my office, while I was packing up the years of accumulated stuff, I kept thinking that if God closed a door, it means there’s another one that is about to open. I admit that I haven’t seen the light from that door swinging open yet, but I know I will. I expect it.Now, I see 2 choices. I can choose to get up every morning and feel utter defeat and depression because jobs are at a premium, I am overqualified for that one, and not qualified enough for this one, and I am not going to be able to pay my bills, or take my grandchildren to places, or buy the new car that I need. Oh, pity me!!
Or, I can choose to get up in the morning, and go to the gym and after a great work-out sit in the whirlpool and relax. I am so grateful that for the first time in my life, I have gotten to watch Spring unfold before my eyes! I have watched the grass turn green, and the birds return from their winter havens to build their nests, the forsythia and daffodils have passed from bud to bloom before my eyes. I have been thrilled and utterly amazed at the purple finches building their home on my front door in my hanging planter. I am finding utter joy in the prospect of finding a new career – or not!
Ok, ok- we have all heard the words “attitude is a choice.” Doesn’t our friend Jill Bachman say “attitude is everything”? And how many times did we hear them? I lost count, but I am grateful that I heard, and even more grateful that I paid attention!
I don’t know how long it will be before I start seeing the light from the opening door, but I DO know it will open! I don’t know about you, but I am choosing not to participate in this recession. It just seems like the simple way of handling it!

Every body understands that men's life is very expensive, but different people need cash for different stuff and not every one gets big sums cash. Thus to get some business loans and just short term loan would be good way out.
I feel honoured to be invited by my esteemed friend Sam to write an “Article of Virtue”.
This is my first public article… an important turning point on my path of life!
“Oneness” is a heartfelt subject to me! So, let’s start in considering the following quote:
“See… the Light of Love which is in all. You will find a magic, living relationship uniting the trees, the sky, the stars, all people, and all living things; and, you will feel oneness with them.”– Paramahansa Yogananda
You certainly read similar quotes… but, have you reflected on the nature of this mystical link? Have you felt that special bond… with a plant or a pet; with a tree or an animal?
